Greenhills Country House Hotel is a 4-star property effortlessly combining an English country home feel with modern comforts and amenities.


Situated in the heart of rural Jersey near the rugged northern coastline, the Greenhills is perfect for walkers, and the surrounding network of Green Lanes limits traffic to just 15mph.

Parts of the hotel date back to 1674 and the Greenhills is perhaps an embodiment of Jersey’s folklore and heritage.

Greenhills boasts an award wining AA rosette restaurant and the lounge and bar offer informal dining, with no fewer than 20 speciality gins on the menu.

The hotel is home to award winning gardens and outdoor heated swimming pool. The terrace is a wonderful setting for a spot of al fresco dining or afternoon tea.


There are just 33 rooms, each individually designed and with its own charm and character. All rooms have period features and have been recently refurbished. Many Garden View and Superior Plus rooms have French doors which open up directly to the garden and pool. The Killiecrankie Suite has a bedroom, separate lounge and dining area and a fantastically lavish bathroom.

  • Standard – Standard rooms are situated in the main building and provide a tranquil and calm atmosphere in which to stay
  • Garden View – These rooms are in the East and West buildings and overlook the beautiful gardens
  • Superior – These rooms are larger, have period features and have both bath and walk in shower
  • Superior Plus – Extra spacious rooms with direct access to the gardens and pool
  • The Killiecrankie Suite – This top floor room has a bedroom, separate dining and lounge area and sumptuous roll top bath.

How to get there

By Plane – The island of Jersey can be reached with direct flights from most major regional airports flying with the following airlines British Airways, Easyjet, Blue Islands and Jet2. Flight time is as little as 50 minutes.

By Ferry – Condor Ferries operate a daily service throughout the year from Poole and Portsmouth to Jersey. The fast ferry service from Poole takes approximately four and a half hours whereas the conventional ferry from Portsmouth can take up to twelve hours. You can travel as foot passengers or take your vehicle on-board. You can even take your dog with you – they travel free in your vehicle or you will pay a small supplement as foot passengers.

For ease of travel, there really is no better way to get there. No luggage restrictions, easy check in and you sit back, relax and start your holiday as soon as you board. Seat upgrades are available.

Top tips

  • October is a fantastic time to visit and take advantage of “Tennerfest” – a fixed price food festival with menus starting from £10 per person.
  • A lot of our clients like to have a car delivered to their hotel for part or all of their stay. But Prestige can also have bicycles delivered directly to you as well, a fantastic alternative way to explore the green heart or coastal pathways that Jersey has to offer.
  • There is no VAT in Jersey so this makes it the perfect destination for retail therapy. You will find a combination of well known high street brands to boutique and local offerings

When To Go

Summer (June-August) – the island boasts some of the UK’s warmest weather and temperatures can reach a comfortable 21 degrees Celsius. This period is peak season and although the weather is favourable, costs and availability can be an issue.

Autumn (September-November) – September to mid-October can still attract some decent weather and it means you can enjoy the island when the tourists have all gone home. The sea temperatures tend to be at their warmest in September.

Winter (December-February) – Low Season. A season with unpredictable weather and very few tourists. Some properties, attractions and shops close during this period. That being said winter on Jersey can still be enjoyable, with dramatic coastlines and cosy atmospheric pubs whilst taking advantage of the much lower prices at this time of year. However please bear in mind that travel to Jersey at this time of the year can often be disrupted due to weather. This is also the best time for deserted beaches, coastal foraging, stormy photography and wild walks without another soul in sight.

Spring (March-May) – A lovely time to visit the island with spring flowers in bloom everywhere and the summer hoards of visitors have not yet arrived. Temperatures are starting to get balmy and a great time for walking the miles of nature trails on offer.
