Cairngorms National Park

The Cairngorms is the UK’s largest National Park situated in the heart of the Scottish Highlands and is a true mecca for all those searching for some serious outdoor adventure.  The Cairngorms has one of the best snow records and three of Scotland’s five Ski centres are within the park (winter season only of course). In the warmer seasons the munros offer fantastic hiking, mountain biking and climbing opportunities.

Why not take to the water? From rivers to lochs to lakes there is something for everyone, and activities include canoeing, windsurfing, sailing, swimming, fishing and even gorge walking!

But the Cairngorms is not just suited to the thrill seeker. It also has a rich history and was the location of many a feud and bloody battle. It is here you will also find Balmoral Castle, the Scottish holiday home to the Royal Family. The castle opens its grounds, gardens, gift shop, safari and café to the public. The Cairngorms is also a haven for flora, fauna and avifauna including Red squirrels, Osprey, Capercaillie and of course, the Twin Flower.
