The Helicopter is back!

By October 30, 2017January 31st, 2019Isles of Scilly News

The long awaited and much talked about helicopter service from Land’s End to the Isles of Scilly is finally back in operation, with the first service taking flight in May 2018.

Unlike the Skybus service from Newquay and Exeter this will operate year round, with up to 8 flights a day, 6 days a week. The helicopter, a brand new 10 seater AW-169, is a very welcome sight and alternative to standard air travel and with a fifteen minute flight time it is officially the quickest way to get across to the islands.

Why not include the helicopter as part of your travel plans? Nothing says VIP more than this and it is the perfect way to arrive at your destination in style.

It is also possible to fly just one way for those who are looking to simply enjoy the experience of flying by helicopter and getting those fantastic and unique views across the archipelago as you descend.

We can incorporate this into any holiday itinerary you may have in mind, whether you are staying in St Mary’s itself, or whether you are heading straight to one of the “off islands”.
